Scholarship

Each of the five colleges at Louisiana Tech is represented in Alpha Lambda. Our members are eligible for 125 graduate and undergraduate scholarships awarded each academic year. Most scholarships are unrestricted, but some have been established for a particular chapter, field of study, state of residence or college. Only one application is required to be considered for all scholarships. Applications must be postmarked by March 1st each year to be considered for the following academic year.

The minimum requirement is a 3.2 grade point average. There are merit and financial need scholarships. Applicants are scored in several categories: academic, involvement (Phi Mu/campus/community), financial need, personal statements and recommendations. Donors to the Foundation receive extra consideration.

 

The Foundation also offers the Betty Nell Wilkinson Emergency Scholarship for young women affected by catastrophic situations such as illness, death, divorce, natural disaster, etc.
